Now, thanks to Lukas’ Seafood and Grille, you do not have to battle the Parkway traffic to enjoy it. The area’s finest, freshest seafood dining has come to us. If you want delicious seafood, forget about an EZ Pass. All you need is a table at Lukas’ Seafood and Grille in flag plaza in Warren. Sonny Gjevukaj, the owner of Lukas’ Seafood and Grille, owns three other restaurants with his brother, Johnny, but seafood is his passion. He personally checks the deliveries every day to make sure that they are at their freshest and he is intimately involved in creating new items for the menu. He has helped to develop specials includ- ing Dover Sole and Branzini (a European sea bass) that are out of this world. He has worked with Chef Roberto for over twenty years and together they love to create new takes on old favorites- like a surf and turf that is chicken and shrimp or steak and shrimp fajitas. He and his brother grew up learning the restaurant business from their father and grandfather. “This is my passion,” Sonny admits. After learning all he could in his native Albania, he travelled Europe to work in high end restau- rants in Germany, France and Italy before coming to America to open up his own place. Lukas’ Seafood and Grille is the culmination of his dream. His experience has taught him that great food is about fresh- ness and great flavor. He has taken his experience from all different cultures and combined them to make an interesting and very tasty menu that is not defined by any one ethnicity but has a definite Mediterranean flair. Lukas’ Seafood and Grille, named after Sonny’s three year old son, is a family affair. His wife, brother, cousins and close friends all work together to create a friendly and open, yet high end, atmosphere that involves a love of family and good food. It is sure to be the go-to place in Warren this summer. With outdoor seating, specialty drinks and an appetizer menu that includes chilled shell- fish, Eastern Coast Blue Point Oys- ters, Grilled octopus and old favorites like Quesadillas, it is a great gathering spot for friends or just an intimate summer meal. There are happy hour specials daily Sunday through Friday from 4:30-6:30pm offering half price specialty drinks and two dollars off beer and wine. Looking to enjoy a nice lunch?
