New owners Alicia Flannery and her parents Joe and Jackie decided to continue Bellini’s legacy of excellence when they bought the store last November. In addition to their classic furniture lines, Bellini also has furniture that is custom made, allowing clients to choose everything they dream of to create their ideal nursery or youth room setting. From classic to contemporary, each piece is designed to transition from infancy through young adulthood. A crib later becomes a full bed, a dresser that once displayed a changing table for baby has the ability to transition to a dresser with a mirror and shelves when the child gets older; the possibilities are endless. Bellini of Short Hills has recently added two new lines of furniture that are made in Canada, as well as many local artists and vendors from around the country. Customer service is the key to Bellini’s success. The staff works with each client personally to ensure their needs are met in every possible scenario and that no detail is left out. Alicia’s enthusiasm and her background in product development in the arts & crafts industry and Christine Russoniello’s 20 years of industry experi- ence is a winning combination. Because there is so much to choose from it’s essential to have a professional help make recommendations. Furniture style, room design, budget requirements, col- ors, themes, fabrics, accessories and accent pieces are all considered during the planning process. Alicia explains Bellini will even arrange for deliveries to difficult city locations and lend furniture in the event a customer’s own merchan- dise isn’t available because the baby comes early, or other unforeseen reasons. The showroom has been recently re- designed to help highlight some of the 100’s of possibilities customers can choose from. There are individual rooms that model the furniture and complimen- tary decor, which are guaranteed to give inspiration for any little prince or princess! Original works of wall art and nursery and children’s room murals can be commissioned through Bellini’s part- nership with Sam Simon, a renowned NYC artist. Some of his work is show- cased in the “Short Hills showroom” The comfortable upholstered oversized glid- ing chairs, hand crafted wooden cribs with upholstered head boards that tran- sition to beds, custom made dresser and desk knobs, are all fine examples of the exceptional quality of everything avail- able at Bellini.
