Located in Mt. Bethel Village across from the old King George Inn it has become quite the gath- ering place to meet and shop for bargains. You may not know the store moved to a more spacious location just a few doors down from their original home for more than 20 years. The new shop is bigger, brighter with high ceilings and large dressing rooms. The secret to the shop’s longevi- ty is the high quality of designer women’s clothes, shoes and accessories offered for resale at a mere fraction of the original retail prices.All items consigned are in season, in like-new-condition, and within five years old. Many items found in the shop still have the original tags still attached and are from high end department stores and boutiques. The reason all this great mer- chandise is consigned is because women love to shop – for many it’s their favorite hobby. Surpris- ingly, the average woman wears half the pieces in her wardrobe only once or twice before she tires of them. What woman hasn’t stood in front of her crowded closet and thought “I have noth- ing to wear.” Consigning allows her to make room in her closet as well as some money to put towards the new items she craves. Former longtime Warren resi- dents Bonnie and Nicole Medeiros opened The Vested Interest in 1993. It has been thriving ever since – in fact, to many it has become a bit of an addiction. Unlike many resale shops it is a very organized, neat and calm place to browse. Many women stop in weekly on their lunch break, way home from work or between picking up the kids. It’s a treasure hunt really. New items arrive daily and you never know what you will find. Many unique items brought back from a vacation are consigned. Also spe- cial occasion dresses and acces- sories worn only once. All of these great things get a second chance to be worn and enjoyed. It is recycling at its best. The Vested Interest carries everything from designers like Tory Burch to everyday work sta- ples from Talbots. Premium designer jeans to custom evening dresses all offered at 75% below retail. Also an amazing selection of designer purses and shoes all in excellent condition. Spring and summer items are arriving daily. The shop is open Tues.- Sat.
