It is located on the main street of Raritan, New Jersey just down a few buildings from where Meni and Raymond Tropiano first opened the jewelry store in 1936 making it one of the oldest busi- nesses in the state. Under the own- ership and management of their grandson Ray Tropiano and his wife Michele, Tropiano & Son brings 3 generations of knowledge, integrity, and service to the retail industry. It continues to offer the highest stan- dards of customer service and attention to detail that have enabled them to continue to grow since 1936. In the early days the store sold appliances and offered two small cases of jewelry. Raymond Tropiano Sr. also dealt in gold coins while his wife Meni took the train from Raritan into New York City to bring back jewelry for the business. Tropiano & Son soon developed an outstanding reputation as a family jeweler that offered honest, fair, and sincere service along with exceptional value. Under the lead- ership of son Frank Tropiano they formed partnerships with many local corporations including John- son and Johnson providing service awards, incentive programs, and overall personal jewelry needs. During this time they also estab- lished a commitment to local ath- letic, educational, music, and char- ity organizations. Tropiano & Son remains a fami- ly owned and operated business being overseen by Ray and Michele Tropiano who have worked along- side each other for over 30 years. With other staff including their master jeweler Feliks, and sales associates Megan, Margie, and Donna they continue to bring that special touch to their customers. As times have changed the store has adapted by bringing in many new lines that allow customers to pur- chase beautiful pieces at very affordable prices while continuing to design and make pieces right on the premises. They continue to offer onsite expert jewelry repair along with complete customization including engagement rings, wed- ding bands, and every day pieces.
