Woof Gang Bakery &
Grooming Bridgewater
in February
2016, they realized how much more
goes into grooming a pet than people
think. The pet spa and store featuring
all natural, USA-made chews and dog
collars, high-quality dog food, fun
home goods for pet lovers has been
known to give everything from blue-
berry pie facials to Mohawks to its will-
ing four-legged participants.
Open 7 days a week from 9:30am-
7:30pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-
6pm on Sundays, the weekends tend
to fill up with regular customers,
although newcomers often emerge
due to word of mouth. “We have dogs
that come from as far as Pennsylvania
for grooming,” Patel explained.
Grooming services include everything
from teeth brushing to pumpkin spice
shampoo treatments. Every month, a
new scent is available as well as luxury
shampoo upgrade treatments, with
choices such as pina cololda in the
summer and merry cranberry around
the holidays. De-shedding and blue-
berry pie facial treatments are popular
services performed by the experienced
groomers, but every service depends
on the breed of the dog. Six to eight
weeks is a typical time frame for a hair-
cut while a mini-groom can be once a
month, and includes such luxuries as a
soothing bath, blow dry, brush out,
and feet-face-fanny trim. They have a
cat groomer also that does baths, hair-
cuts and nail trims. With toasted
almond and sugar cookie scented body
products for the pets and clothing
items such as raincoats and scarfs, it is
no wonder customers keep coming
back for more.
“We work with the owner and the
dog to make this an enjoyable experi-
ence,” Patel says. “We have returning
clientele so our dedicated staff know
their dog the minute they walk in the
door.” With a loyalty rewards program
if the customers purchase pet food and
other retail items in the store plus
sending out personalized emails to
each customer after a visit, it is easy to
see why Patel enjoys the job she has.
And let’s not forget the bakery sec-
tion. Upon entry, customers can feast
their eyes on treats so decadent they
temporarily forget they aren’t for
humans. Peanut butter patties, ched-
dar cheese bagel bites, plus seasonal
and football shaped cookies are all just
some of the items one can take home
to their beloved pet. Birthdays are
always fun and they have many
options from cakes, cupcakes, cookies
to toys to help celebrate your favorite
pooches’ birthday. Free treats and sam-
ples are given out when

hosts events, which is a good way to
socialize with other dogs.

also works with local rescues and hosts
multiple on-site adoption events as
well as donates treats and food
throughout the year to rescues and
shelters in need. Birthday parties, pet
costume contests during Halloween,
Christmas events featuring Santa,
Valentine’s Day functions and Easter
egg hunts for local organizations that
are passionate about pooches, are all
just some of the many events hosted
by the store. “Last February we had
our one-year anniversary party and had
a caricaturist on hand and were hand-
ing out samples to the guests,” Patel
fondly recalled.
