She started drawing and piano at a very early age, and later studied piano peda- gogy at the Juilliard School of Music and oil painting at the Art Students’ League, both in NYC. She studied watercolor paint- ing at the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts and with noted watercolorists around the world. Medy’s art is inspired by her world travels and her love of music, people and nature. She captures the essence of her subjects with expressive realism and a hint of impressionism. Her paintings have been in juried exhibits of the American Artists Pro- fessional League in NYC, The Catharine Lorillard Art Club in NYC, The North East Watercolor Society, The New Jersey Water- color Society and the Garden State Water- color Society, to name a few. Her work has been featured in solo shows at the Morris- town Memorial Hospital, the Atrium of the Morristown Courthouse, the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morris County Library and other prominent public spaces. Medy’s work has been represented and sold by Design Domaine Gallery in Bernardsville, Art Chateau Gallery in Chester, and Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick, NJ, and is in private and corpo- rate collections in the US and Europe. Medy is an Elected Member and Fellow of the American Artists Professional League in NYC and a signature member of the Gar- den State Watercolor Society and Essex Water Color Club, where she recently served as President. She currently serves on the Board of the New Jersey Watercolor Society. Medy works from her studio in East Hanover, NJ. Music is an integral part of the creative process for her.
